NEW PIANO PIECES & IMPROVISATIONS

The pieces below are musical 'seeds': kernels of ideas which grew out of improvisation and have since been notated and recorded.

They can be enjoyed as they are, or taken and developed further. Paul retains copyright ownership over the original ideas, but is happy for others to enjoy and develop them in the context of personal use.

For permissions queries beyond personal use, and for sheet music requests, please get in touch via the
About Paul page.

'The Sun Still Shines' was named after a wartime inscription made on the wall of a German cellar by a Jew in hiding. It reads:

"I believe in the sun even when it is not shining;
I believe in love even when feeling it not;
I believe in God even when he is silent."

Here are two versions: the original and an improvisation.

These may help when God seems far away or silent.

'The Dream Chorus' is so called as during a dream, I heard the opening being sung by a choir. The rest was worked out on the piano.

This piece was first played at a recent Foundations conference on creativity, where many testified that on hearing it they experienced physical or emotional healing. May you be similarly blessed as you listen.

'Together' was written to celebrate love, marriage and friendship.
